Home cleaners

Eco Friendly

A variety of effective conventional household cleaning products do contain harmful elements including carcinogenic and unstable organic compounds. They can have a detrimental effect on you and everyone in your household as well as the environment.

Make full use of safe items you may already have at home.

Hard surface cleaner

One half cup of white vinegar with one half cup of table salt stirred until dissolved and then decant into a spray bottle.

Wood Polish

Add one cup of lemon juice to two cups of olive oil and decant into a bottle. Pour liberally onto a soft cloth and apply.

Add one tablespoon of lemon juice to half a cup of baking soda then pour into one and a half pints of water. This solution is fabulous for tackling food odours from microwave ovens and refuse bins.

Laundry Washing Balls

They do not contain damaging chemicals, are safe to use and will last for several washing cycles.

A simple eco-friendly practice is to reuse soft fabric clothes items once they have become worn. Old vests and tee shirts make great cloths. You will find a new use for what you already have whilst reducing the need for the production of new dusters.

What can I do about it today?

A good place to begin changing your cleaning practices is to go through all your current items. Ones that carry a strong caution on the label are probably best diluted or replaced with another product.
